HISTORY OF THE DIA OF JIZZAKH REGION

 

The MIA of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its local departments are part of the law enforcement agencies' system.

Numerous laws and resolutions of our state's supreme bodies have been adopted to improve and regulate law enforcement agencies' activities. They include the followings: the "Regulations on the Soviet Workers' and Peasants' Militia in the Turkestan Republic of the Russian Federation," approved by the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the Turkestan ASSR on June 26, 1919; and the "Regulations on the Organization of Criminal Investigations in the Turkestan ASSR" adopted in July of that year; "Regulations of police posts and patrol service" adopted in 1948; Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek SSR of July 20, 1953 "On measures to strengthen the fight against crime and maintain public order in the Uzbek SSR"; Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the former USSR of September 26, 1962, on the celebration of November 10 of each year as "Police Day"; Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the former Soviet Union of April 6, 1963 "On granting the right to conduct a preliminary investigation to public order agencies", which gave the right to conduct a preliminary investigation in law enforcement agencies.
